We believe and affirm from the Holy Scriptures that a local Church is under the sovereign authority of God. The Father loved us in LORD Jesus Christ who gave Himself establishing the Church, which is now being sanctified through the inspired Word(Bible) in the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:25-27, Col 1:17-18, 2 Timothy 3:16-17). God is leading His Church and His Word is the authority for all rule and practice.
Office of the elders/pastors: Leadership of a local Church is entrusted to servants of the LORD, men who qualify according to 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. These men are recognised by the congregation and by the existing elders (who were previously affirmed and appointed) are appointed to be elders/pastors to care (1 Peter 5:1-4) and lead the Church under God’s divine leadership. Elders/pastors are entrusted to lead the Church in sound teaching("preach the word," 1Timothy 4:2), all that Jesus commanded (Genesis to Revelation). Elders are called to set the local Church in order (Titus 1:5).
Office of the deacons: The deacons are men who serve alongside elders, in different areas of need. Deacons serve leading certain elements of the LORD's day worship service, arranging the sanctuary for worship, teaching in small groups and serving during fellowship. Various other serving needs for a healthy biblical functioning of a local Church, in order to accomplish its mission (1
Timothy 3:8-13). Women deacons, who serve among women, older women or more matured women are to be teaching younger women (Titus 2:3-5) and those who are new to faith or the younger generation.
The Congregation: Congregation follows the leadership submitting to the elders and praying for their integrity in ministry (Hebrews 13:17-18, 1 Peter 5:5). The congregation should hold the elders and deacons accountable to the biblical standards in ministry. Each and every member of the congregation is called to follow God and maintain unity. "...walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:1-3)."
